Farm Fifty Eight CSA Policy
Signing Up: When you sign up for a CSA, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your share options, your pick-up location, and your account activity. You can view and edit your account, change your pick up location, credit card info, or password and even place a vacation or suspension hold just by signing in to your account.
Payments: We bill all reoccurring payments automatically, and you will get a statement by email. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Farmigo runs our order site and your information is stored securely by Checkgateway, LLC. You may choose to pay in full, 2 installments, 5 installments, or max number allow to have paid off by end of season. Your initial payment is a binding contract with us where you agree to pay the subsequent installments. We do not offer any cancellations or refunds.
Cancellation Policy: In the CSA model, members are seen as active farm partners, sharing the risks and rewards of the harvest. Members may cancel their subscription at any time, for any reason, however should you choose to cancel your subscription, we cannot offer a refund for shares. Once you join our CSA, you are committing to the entire (24 week) Spring/Summer CSA. If you have unpaid installments, the full balance of all installments will need to be paid at time of cancellation. The CSA partnership sustains our farm, individual members, and the community at large.
Refund Policy: Due to the nature of a CSA and the commitment you made to participate, there are no refunds.
Late Payments: Late payments extending past one week of due date for add on orders or CSA installments will result in a hold on your CSA. Delivery will continue once payments are made. On the second occurrence the CSA must be paid in full.
Pick-up Protocol and Polices: It is your responsibility to remember to pick up your share during the listed pick-up hours for the Pick-up Location you chose. Any shares and options remaining at the close of pick-up hours may be donated by the site hosts, so be sure to pick up your share during the listed hours.
Changing Your Pick Up Location: If you want to change your pick up location, please do so 5 days before your pick up day. If you switch and then want to switch back, you’ll need to log into your account again to do so.
Share-Splitting: You are welcome to split a share with someone, however, share-splitting is the responsibility of the member who signed up for the share; we do not manage the splitting of shares. Some people split the share after pick-up or you can go one week and your friend the next. Please keep in mind that although two of you are splitting the share, some items do not come in pairs…broccoli in spring or watermelon in summer for example. This includes payment: you are responsible for all payments – do not divide the cost and pay half/have your share-splitter pay half. You pay us for everything and have your share-splitter reimburse you for their half. When you sign-up, please make sure to include the names and contact info of any one who will be coming to pick-up for the share, as well as all the e-mail addresses of folks who want to receive the newsletters and updates.
Communication: Farm Fifty Eight communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a payment or to remind you of a scheduled pick up. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts about your order or inform you about happenings on our farm. By becoming a member of our CSA, you are agreeing to open and read all email communications as soon as you see them since much of the information is time sensitive.
